I love good food, I love dining out and love to cook. If I use a recipe without modifying it, it's to learn how somebody else makes. From that point on, I'm on my own, tinkering and modifying it until it suits me. (Sounds a lot like life in general, doesn't it?)

How I got the title "Swiss Army Knife"

Several years ago I was an executive of the Shizuoka chapter of JALT (Japan Association of Language Teachers) and was given the title of "Swiss Army Knife". What was unexpected was that that title would become the subject hot debate at the next national executive meeting.

Hello Google; Goodbye Contact Address

I've done a few more minor changes to the site. First, you'll notice I have added Google Search to my news and archive pages. Secondly, I have removed the contact email address from my contact page.

Since the site archives will grow, I thought a good search function was in
order. Google is the premier search engine on the web so why not?
